Serengeti rocks July 6, 2007 Alice Cokefair (Jupiter, FL USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is my 3rd pair of Serengeti sunglasses. I bought the first pair on a trip to Las Vegas, and enjoyed them for 10 years before I lost them. They were aviators, just like these. I hated losing them, even more when I discovered Sunglass Hut no longer carried this style. Amazon to the rescue!! They had the pair I wanted.
Serengeti Drivers November 22, 2008 L. T. Mullen (Angleton TX) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased a pair of Serengeti Drivers sunglasses over 20 years ago when they were owned by Corning. When I first used them I couldn't believe how relaxed my eyes felt in the bright sunlight. I sat on them once and broke the frame so I sent them in to Corning and they replaced the frame and sent them back. Yesterday one of the handles broke so I thought I would send them in again to get them fixed but apparently Corning sold their Serengeti line so I'm not sure how to proceed with getting them repaired. Mine have the aviator style lenses with a plastic frame and apparently that style is no longer available. These Serengeti Drivers are with out a doubt are the best sunglasses I have ever owned and if I can't get them fixed I will buy another pair.
Best Sunglasses...period! December 10, 2007 miket (Palatine, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought my first Serengeti Large Aviator (Boomslang Species) sunglasses when I was 18 years old for $75. I am now 46 and still own that original pair and purchased another pair about 15 years ago that I also still own, but broke one of the lenses when they fell out of my pocket at Disneyland last week. Fortunately, the same model that I bought all those years ago(#5222) is still available or I would be in a panic. These are the best sunglasses fit and performance wise I have ever owned and will ever own.
Great Glasses August 29, 2008 L. S. GARRETT (Oh USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my second purchase of these glasses. As such I would continue to replace them with another pair in the future. I have a pair in each car and a spare on the shelf if I loose one.
I,m hard on my glasses and these stand up to the ware and tare.
I've had Ray Ban and these are as good or better.
Bought in 1992, lasted a LONG time. March 14, 2009 TakeOut (Sacramento CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Originally had a pair that broke after 1 year and then got this pair then in 92 [...] Price Club (Costco now). Best damn sunglasses I have ever seen and worn and I have a BIG head, extra large. In fact, I yam gonna look for longer arms on frame. I have worn these average about 3 times a week, plenty of sun here even in winter. The originals had magnesium flouride coating on the inside glass, for antireflection properties.
